WHAT IS A TUMMY TUCK?
More than just excess skin.
Your abdomen is rarely the problem.
Excess skin is.
THE CONCEPT
After pregnancy, significant weight loss or the natural ageing process, excess skin can remain around the abdomen. In many cases, there is also a rectus diastasis – a separation of the abdominal muscles that commonly develops after pregnancy.
A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) removes excess skin, reshapes the abdominal contour and, when necessary, restores the abdominal wall with a rectus muscle repair. The goal is not an unnaturally flat abdomen, but a balanced, natural result that fits your body.
Depending on your anatomy, I perform a classic tummy tuck, a Fleur-de-Lis tummy tuck, or a lipo-abdominoplasty. The right technique is always determined by your individual anatomy and goals.
THE THREE PRINCIPLES
01
Not every abdomen needs the same operation.
Some patients benefit from a classic tummy tuck. Others achieve a better result with a Fleur-de-Lis tummy tuck or a lipo-abdominoplasty. The right procedure is always based on your anatomy – never on a one-size-fits-all approach.
02
Honesty is part of surgery.
Every tummy tuck leaves a scar. It is positioned where a Caesarean section scar is usually located—only slightly longer. In everyday life, it is typically well hidden beneath underwear or swimwear and usually fades significantly over time.
03
A strong abdomen starts from within.
If a rectus diastasis is present, it can be repaired during surgery. This not only improves the abdominal contour but also restores the stability of the abdominal wall.
HOW YOUR
ABDOMINAL CONTOURING PLAN IS CREATED
STEP 01
Analysing your abdomen
I assess excess skin, fat distribution, skin quality and whether a rectus diastasis is present. Based on this analysis, I create your individual surgical plan.
STEP 02
Personalised surgical planning
Together, we decide whether a classic tummy tuck, a Fleur-de-Lis tummy tuck or a lipo-abdominoplasty will provide the most natural result.
STEP 03
Precision in every detail
Every procedure is individually planned to achieve harmonious body contours, discreet scars and a long-lasting natural result.
YOUR ABDOMINAL CONTOURING OPTIONS
CLASSIC TUMMY TUCK
Tighten. Restore.
Excess skin and weakened tissue are removed to reshape the abdomen. If necessary, a rectus muscle repair is performed at the same time to restore the stability of the abdominal wall.
FLEUR-DE-LIS TUMMY TUCK
For extensive excess skin.
After major weight loss, a horizontal tummy tuck alone is often not enough. The Fleur-de-Lis technique removes excess skin both horizontally and vertically, allowing for a more comprehensive body contouring result.
LIPO-ABDOMINOPLASTY
Tighten and sculpt.
A lipo-abdominoplasty combines a tummy tuck with liposuction. This creates smoother transitions, improved body proportions and a naturally defined waistline.
